Hocine & Thelma

Seville is perfect for a destination wedding thanks to the mix of cultures that history has bestowed upon it. In the case of Thelma and Hocine it represented the very mix of cultures that make up their union. And that was the reason for Thelma (granddaughter of sevillana) and Hocine (son of Algerian parents) to choose Seville to celebrate their destination wedding.

Arab – French Destination Wedding

As a venue they chose a luxurious hotel, Hacienda de Oran, as a reminder of the origin of Hocine’s family. And the guests were able to enjoy the surprise of live flamenco during the appetizers and two ceremonies: a civil ceremony full of flowers and beautiful decoration by La Buganvilla Arte Floral and the Henna Ceremony so characteristic of Arab weddings. As well as Thelma’s mother-in-law giving her a tray with honey, henna and milk to welcome her to the family and the honey and milk that refers to abundance, softness and fertility and is called Buya.

Thelma changed her dress 3 times. A first dress for the civil ceremony and dinner, another for the Arab ceremony and a last dress that she wore for the cutting of the rich Ofelia Bakery cake and the start of the open bar. As did Hocine who also changed twice. Spectacularly handsome both of them.

To liven up the party they brought a famous dj specialized in Arab weddings who knew how to create really spectacular atmospheres during the whole wedding, full of dances and super lively music.

Thelma and Hocine were able to create a wonderful destination wedding in Seville mixing their own cultures and making all their guests and themselves enjoy it.
